Personality: Susie is calm, curious, often cheerful and has a rather dry sense of humor. She also has a deep-rooted cynical streak in her that shows up more often than is welcome. She loves to be around people, though she is reluctant to make intimate relationships with anyone and doesn't like to be physically touched any more than a pat on the back or a handshake. She's also a pacifist deep down and generally would rather to stay out of a fight or take a diplomatic approach than be in the middle of a fight.

History: Susie was born in an extreme pro-human fringe group in society dedicated to using and improving alien technology. She barely knew her mother as the former had defected from the group when she was just a toddler. Her father however gave her up to a group of people experimenting with nanotechnology when she was 8 years old and the first thing that was done to her when she arrived was to graft a mecha-link onto her brain stem. Every day since, she would be linked up to her pod, searching for a connection with the nano particles around her. Other adults and children usually failed or died during the operation, but the nanotech responded to her after 6 months and after 2 years she could keep the nanomachines under control.

By the time she was 19, she had also been taught mechanics (and not much else) she could control the machine better than anyone in the project could. But, before she could put any effort into learning how to fly her mech (if it could) the United States of Oceania dissolved the project and its group. Not wanting to waste such an interesting piece of new technology or its pilot, Susie was shipped off to the UN and its pilot school.

Notes:
- Susie is directly plugged into the pod though a cable from her brain stem
- Any direct damage to the link connecting her to the machine while she's plugged in can kill her outright or make her a vegetable
- There is a limit of 5000kg for nano particles. If any are destroyed or to normal wear and tear, Susie will 'feed' the nanoparticles sand and metal scrap for them to rebuild.
- If Susie is plugged in for more than 12 hours (standstill) or has to do more than 4 hours on a strenuous mission without food or rest, she will start to starve and use up her fat and muscle tissue at an exponential rate.
