Artist's Comments
This is the only crypt in Dunedin, and belongs to the Lanarch family. The Lanarch family owned the only castle built in New Zealand (it's more like a large mansion than a castle). They say the ghost of old Mr Lanarch (he commited suicide) haunts the old castle as well as his wife Elisa, who died mysteriously...possibly from snuffing too much snuff.
